Although a 5-speed manual conversion is possible don't think that it's necessary, the standard tranny can hold the torque even with a twin-turbo installed. If you search around here and the benzworld forums for mosselman you shop find a guy who's got a twin-turbo (not sure if it's an M103 or M104) who should definitely be able to advice you.
