Brake Discs, 1999 E300

I need to replace my front discs and I am considering using discs with slotted vents or cross drilled. Is there any opinion to these if one is better than the other?
Thanks,

Cross drilled or slotted rotors do add a little extra braking performance because their able to release gas pockets between the pad and rotor during hard braking. Unfortunately they both have weaknesses. Drilled rotors tend to crack and slotted tend to warp. If your going to do this upgrade, go with a reputable vendor like ATE or Brembo for your rotors. I have found that pads are your best investment for a brake upgrade. I personally like EBC brake pads. They last a looong time and stop really good.
