Has anyone raced the new Infinit Q45 with 345HP and 327 ft-lbs. torque?

How about you 500E/E55 owners?

Are these cars too new?

Yeah I read some magazine about this car.
This thing will be a tough one to beat...

I wonder if anyone actually try to race this car yet.
If you want to see it's true performance let's wait for another 2-3 months until it's broken in..
then let'see what happen

I think the new Q45 isn't out on street yet! But I am looking forward to get my hands on one(Test Drive/Sit in/Abuse...etc ). From the previews I have read, '02 Q45 can accelerate as hard as 540i Sport, yet with comforts and high techs. It would be a very interesting match amoung LS430, S430 Sport, 740i Sport, and Q45.

When is Benz going to knock out a Supermachine like the Q45. We want performance, quality, and technology.

BTW, a S430 would nt be able to keep up.

The only thing I don't like about the new Q, is that it looks like an Oldsmobile Alero!
C'mon, with all that technology and performance packed into one car, you would think the designers could come up with something a little more stylish than a vintage 1996 Oldsmobile body style?

Q doesn't seem that hot, read Edmunds' test

http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadtests/firstdrive/45789/article.html

"While the sheer number of horsepower is mighty impressive on paper, and likewise scoots you along with alacrity, the 4.5-liter, 32-valve V8 doesn't feel like a 340-horsepower engine. A vehicle powered by 300 or more horses ought to possess a sense of heart-pounding action, but the Infiniti lacks the fervent pull that characterizes a high-output engine. While published numbers state that 0 to 60 acceleration times can be achieved in 5.9 seconds, we're looking forward to testing it ourselves (for instance, we couldn't duplicate the 6.1-second acceleration times noted in the Lexus LS 430's press kit; our road test editor could only eke out 6.4 seconds). A possible explanation for the Q's lack of "pin you to the seat" demeanor is its final gear ratio of 2.764, compared to the peppier-feeling Lexus' 3.266. Furthermore, transmission kickdown was sludgy when left in automatic mode (an automanual mode is available). We attributed this to a preproduction glitch and were assured by company representatives that the fuzzy logic, software-programmed system would be tweaked in the production models.
