Yeah, get a 2003 or later twin turbo V12 Mercedes.

Follow teds example! Get a 2003 S600 that has the bi-turbos!
Other than that, the V12 is pretty fast by itself. My SL600 does not need any additional help. It is already a cop magnet.

Twin-turbo or supercharger with aftermarket ECU.
600RWhp should not be a problem.. |

Bi-Turbo or Kompressor?
What would be the difference between using the bi-turbo versus a supercharger? The supercharger is going to give you a constant boost from zero, whereas the turbo does not kick in as early, if I remember correctly. Is this true? What other differences are there?

Blowers also take power to drive @ all times. Turbo lag as you are describing it is not really a concern w/ modern turbos (variable vanes etc..).
Also, the roots style blower you are thinking of is going to take some Major packaging work in order to fit on top of a 129 w/ an M120..best you could hope for would be a centrifugal unit which really only works well @ higher RPM's (a-la old school turbos). Jonathan

Thanks, Jonathan. I believe I do recall hearing someone mention the issue of fitting the supercharger under the hood. Can you recomend a good resource to get up to speed on the workings of these modern-style turbos?
