It appears to be stuck in the loading mode, ie, it won't do anything but cycle. At first it would play only a few discs of the 10, now it won't function at all. Should I send to Becker for repair? About how much down time? Other happy news, my radio now won't function, I have an e2 code since the changer isn't plugged in. Thoughts, experience, help? Thanks in advance, allen.

Pressing the mode button won't cycle through the radio/cassette even though the CD isn't plugged in?

idea

What happens if you disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, reattach it, then enter your unlock-code?

That should do the trick: just treat it like a PC!

I had the same problems with my cd changer last November. I took it out and sent to Becker in New Jersey. They re-alligned/cleaned/ put a new motor... I got it back and re-installed it and all is well... I think it was around $130.00

Now I'm wondering...

does the E2 message have anything to do with the CD changer's malfunction? That wouldn't seem to make sense, but no one has ever accused MB of making sense when it came to hi-fi...Any of you get an E2 message on your 124? It has power at the rear, and obviously at the front, or the antenna would not function as it does. Help!
