I just wanted to see how much the original engine can make hehe Everything is just about engine system, if you can control fuel and ignition then you can make some power, good ingition curve is very impotent |
Do you think there will be any problems boosting a 3.6L M104 to 400hp using an Autronic SMC ECU?
|
Just like Roman says...
It´s more or less all about engine management. As long as you keep out of detonation(Ie;keep timing conservative) it comes down to total system flow. As for innards,again..as long as you keep out of detonation the OEM stuff will carry a LONG way. Btw. Have worked with the autronics on occasions and they´re really good systems. |

You should realy use autronic Yes 400hp would not be any problem, with autronic and turbo you get up to 400hp with 0,5bar and stock compression. What kind of turbocharger do you think to use? |
I'm thinking of using a Garrett T04B 62-1 if I buy the complete turbo kit from this thread:
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w124-e-ce-d-td-class/1270977-turboing-300-coupe.html The performance target is 0-100km/h in <=5.0sec with stock 722.358 auto gearing and 3.07 rear ratio. How much power will I need to achieve this? |
Are we talking the kit in the pictures,or the english based kit last in the text?
|
The one in the pics. It's a custom job.
|
ok...I have seen these pictures and for me it looks likes more low budget homemade turbokit. Not so good advertising to show out rust pipes and intercooler outside the spoiler.
But I am sure that maybe it works fine and good job as homebuiling kit. But not good as a market product |
Despite of the power its makeing, it has to be bling-bling too. :D
This is a sweedish way of tuning cars, I love it. |

By the way how much cost this kit and what parts include? |

Å Roman.
Eftersom d nu skrivit om vårt svenska sätt...så skriver jag detta mest för att förvirra dem..så de inte hajar att vi e BÄST! :D |
I agree the stock M103 can handle 600hp on stock parts. Just too bad the rest of the drivetrain can not.

P.S. ooop never mind found the answer between the pictures - " 20 degree with 1,7 bar " :D ... the stock internals can handle quite a bit of boost  |
