I need some help in finding which pin(s) of the Diagnostic module to hookup to the generic OBDII connector.

So far I've found the following, put need help identifying which pins:

OBDII Generic Connector
1- Engine Control Module (N3/4), O2S 1 signal (which pin?)
4- Chassis Ground
5- Signal Ground
7- Diagnostic Module (which one?)
9- Engine Control Module (N3/4), O2S 2 signal (which pin?)
16- Battery Voltage, circuit 30z

Everthing else is showing not connected; is that correct?
Am I missing anything?

Thanks in advance,
:-) neil

BTW, this is for a 1995 C36.
I think I can get to the Engine Control Module (N3/4) on pins #4 & #17 of the 38-pin diagnostic socket, which can than supply signal to pin #1 and #9 of the generic OBDII connector.

However, I'm confused from where ton the Diagnostic Module to feed pin #7 of the generic OBDII connector.

Per the Referee, I need this in order to work in order to pass California's SMOG inspection.

Thanks in advance,
Neil

PS: any idea how hard to upgrade to the latest ME computers?
I heard that this computer produces upto 20 more HP & Torque than the HFM. Is there really that much more to be extracted from the C36 engine?

Check out this link, maybe it will answer your questions. Pin numbers are identified by function also. http://www.obdii.com/connector.html#dates

In '95, only the S 320, C 280, SL 320 were fully OBDII compliant. Don't know about C36.
