I'm looking at MB's and I found what appears to be a very nice 1992 190E. I've also been looking for 300E's as well. I was curious to those that have a 190E or 300E, what kind of performance upgrades are realistically out there (i.e. chip, exhaust, intake, engine swap, turbo, supercharger). I know with enough time and money anything can be fabricated, but I'm not trying to break the bank. There seems to be a good following with with 190E, that's why I'm seriously considering. Input would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

For the amount of money you would need to get a fast and safe 190E you may as well just look for a used C36,C43,500E,400E,etc. I had a sweet 1992 190E with the six in it and wanted to beef it up but after contacting RennTech and AMG (they have the goods to do a 190E up right) I decided to get a 500E which actually cost me less than a regular 300E and 400E for the same year (1992). Check out the 190revolution site to see what other owners have done to theirs...I know one guy stuffed a 3.2 litre in the 190E engine bay and was selling it. Good luck.
