Does anyone know if Intrax springs lower a car more then Eibach springs. I have Intrax lowering springs and the thickest pads 4 bump in the front and three bump in the rear and my car is too low, it has caused me a rear camber problem, I am wondering if switching to Eibach springs will raise the car a bit, seems alot of people run Eibach and do not have the problems I am having.
The car is a 1987 260e W124 with Intrax Lowering Springs #150.1.010 the wheels are TSW Blades 17"x7.5" with 215/45/17 tires. I am hoping the Intrax springs just lowered my car to much and switching to the Eibach will raise it enough to fix my rear camber problem and bottoming out in the front against the fenders.

Oh man, I feel you pain. I thought that H&R springs are low. To be hornest with you , I never heard of Intrax springs. I got the same wheel and tire config, and my H&R springs are too low and is costing me problems. I think eibach springs should do the job ( lows the car about 1.3" ) Since, our car's rear cambers are not fully adjustable, the only solution for us is to raise the car to prevent camber problems. W124's ride heigh is determines by the spring pad and if you are using the thicknest pads and your car is still too low, I think you should just throw them away. I am sick of lowered too much cars, you can't go anywhere, especially over speed bumps and steel plates on the road. |

intrax usually lowers way more than h&r or eibach.

I would stay away from Intrax. Too low could be very bad.

Renntech makes rear adjustable camber and toe bushings to allow you to maintain proper suspension geometry when you lower the rear. You might want to check them out at http://www.renntechmercedes.com.
Hope that helps...

No, I haven't actually used the kit but based on my experience with other Renntech products as well as their solid reputation, I would, if faced with the same situation as yours, at least give them a call or email them to find out whether their product would solve your problem.
My understanding from them is that this kit is required for their lowering kit and lowering the car in general. I had previously asked them because I am considering their lowering kit for my my next round of upgrades. You may also want to post a query on the hot rod forum as some of the people who post there have a bit more familiarity with Renntech. Good luck...
