Question about lowered E320 Wagon

Hello All-

Just purchased a 94 E320 wagon that has had Eibach sport springs and Bilstien front shocks installed. The rear of the car seems to ride really soft. I would almost say mushy. Also I have noticed that the ride height in the rear drops a bit overnight. Is it time for new spheres or does the system need new fluid and to be bled? When I got the car the resevoir was low. I topped it off with new fluid. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Scott

Most likely the level control valve needs to be rebuilt or replaced. If the valve cannot hold pressure in the accumulators overnight, the rear of the car will sag. The level control system is partially responsible for supporting the rear of the car, along with the springs.

There may also be an external leak, so look for fluid drips, inspect the rear struts, lines, etc.

If the ride is soft you don't need new accumulators.

Thanks for the insight!

Had the car up on a lift inspecting for leaks. Found no leaks. Where is the valve located? Where can I get a rebuild kit?

Cheers!

Actually, I had similar symptoms on my '95 E320 wagon when I bought it (bouncy rear end), and new accumulators cured it.
