Ok Noel and other C43 owners, time to fess up. What times are you guys getting with 1/4 miles and 0-60mph.
Also have any of you guys placed your cars on a dyno, how much horsies you putt'n down to the rear wheels?
Also how does the C43 compare to a 96 C36?

C43 info

I have never ran the car down a track to see what 1/4 mi times the car could run nor do I have a G-Tech to time a 0-60 run but I have been trying to get more power from the car and the results so far have not been that impressive. I put the car on a dyno and on the first run only got around 243HP to the wheels. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. But the car was hot and I had just gotten to the shop so we let the car rest for about 20 minutes and did another dyno run. This time the car put out 259HP to the wheels which is better but still not what I had hoped for. I forgot to mention that I have removed the secondary cats as well as the resonator and performed the runs with the car in this state. I also have the AMG SL 2 piece wheels on my car so we figured that the larger wheels in the rear (18 x 10) was robbing some HP. These wheels are heavier than the stock monoblocks probably by 2-3 lbs. each. On the next run, we removed the stock air box completely and put a short pipe with a K&N air filter on the end. This run netted a average gain of 6 HP throughout the rev range but the impressive gain was +17 lbs. of torque between 2500 and 4500 rpm. The last run was a "what the heck run" in which we unbolted the entire exhaust after the primary cats. back and we let the car rip. All I can say is LOUD LOUD LOUD (like NASCAR LOUD). Pretty nice sound but really crazy. And the result, not much gain, maybe +2 to 3 HP which says that the AMG exhaust is pretty good. All in all I figure that the car now is making roughly 310 HP to the crank (with the removal of the cats and resonator). Hopefully we will be able to test other combinations in the near future... Just a side note, we did the same tests on an E55 and the results were more dramatic...something close to 380 HP.... Sorry for the long post........
