Anything is possible with enough money and a skilled fabricator. What did you have in mind?

well, its a long story, the question was asked of me, I said I would research it, not something I want to do. I thought as you did Tom, with enough money.....
And as you did John, - why?
Thanks

I have personally seen Corvette rears in 450SL's and have heard of Jag rears in 450SL's. I asked the guy with the Corvette rear why he went with that and he felt that the stock rear wouldn't hold up. He was running about 400HP Chevy engine and that may be true as I understand older 107's use a smaller rear. I am using my stock 560SL rear in my 400HP M120 powered 560SL. I'm not at all concerned about this. But just in case I'm saving the SL600 rear.

I believe the 420SEL may already have the same large rear as the 560SL but in any case staying with MB rears would probably be the easiest mods. The only reason I would consider deviating from MB rears ends is to get better flexibility of gear ratios at a reasonable cost.
