500E Dyno Question
Hey I'm planning on getting my 500E dyno'd sometime soon. Not tuned or anything, I just want a good idea of the numbers I'm putting down since I have no idea.
My question is, will my ASR be a problem? There is an aftermarket ASR defeat module installed in my car, but the wiring is effed up at the moment and the very soonest I would be getting that fixed is the last week of March--I'm hoping to do this before then. Will I have to wait? Sorry if this is an obvious question... I'm pretty clueless when it comes to dynos. Thanks |

Jump the ABS circuit under the hood and ASR will self defeat. This will work for the Dyno. Plug it back in after you are done.

I believe ASR only relies on the two rear wheel speed sensors. So, you should be okay. Make sure you unplug the kickdown switch under the accelerator though.

You'll have to disable the ASR as mentioned above..it takes into account the front sensors as well...
Happy Dyno'ing! Jonathan

The sensors are locate on the front wheels...and on the 500E you can disconnect one sensor by the shock towers in the engine bay to take the ASR offline for the dyno runs.
The dash lite will come on and a code stored in the CAN but its Ok and will/should go off when you re-connect it. |
