.ExternalClass .EC_hmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.EC_hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;} Their are a lot of mercedes guys in the US and in england questioning the prices of the kleemann LSD which is a direct match to your design. Kleemann charges thousands for this setup and a lot of mercedes guys with w210 and 211 chassis E320's, E430's, and E55's are showing a lot of interest in your products. I myself have a turbocharged E320 project aiming for 450 hp. It will be a beast and but its open diff hampers its potential. Long story short: I have a spare E320 diff and if at all possible I would like to know if you could machine one of your LSD's for it and the cost. Also several members of www.mbworld.org have E55's and are still looking for an LSD and are also very interested in your products. One member also has a spare diff he would donate without question.

I'm intrigued...I remember reading about this when it came out some time ago.. Everyone was skeptical @ best... Perhaps I'll need to get a diff out of one of my cars send it off and see what happens. Wouldn't be the first time I blew $$ on something that didn't work ;-)

That phantom grip thing looks weird. I can't even see how it works?
AMGDave (Gsxr) posted this a while back on another forum and I thought it was quite informative.

Here you go, from a SLK32 owner, 1 of 3 with the phantomgrip lsd:

In my opinion the Quafie is a far superior unit and is worth the extra money. If it had been an option for the SLK I would not have even considered the Phantom Grip. The Quafie is worth every penny. They come with a life time warranty and are pretty much bullet proof. Their warranty is in effect whether you race your car or just drive it on the street. There is no downside to this product (well unless you have an issue with the price).

The Phantom Grip is exactly the same style that Kleeman sells for ~$3500. It is not a bad unit and I was told it has more than 60% lockup.

I have had the unit on the car for a couple of months and one track event. It makes a positive difference and you really can't beat it for the money. The car hooks up better and is more predictable. Time will tell how it holds up but as of right now I would not hesitate to install it again.

To summarize I would say get the Quafie if it is available. If it is not available or it is too expensive for your taste then go with the Phantom Grip.

/\ Im not sure they do international but if you want one i can help you get one for your c280.

The two plates push out the spider gears simulating an lsd without the powerloss from mercedes pesky ets or asr
Example, Chrysler Crossfire:
