My Turbo E320 project, the beginning
I got all the parts, now i just gotta weld it together. Heres the start of the turbo manifold which I'll have it done this weekend. Next week? Downpipes and Oil lines(If they ever show up ) :D
Cummins Holset Turbo HY35(like H1E) like new and some 97 E320 manifolds and recirculator i got FO' FREE http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/9971/imga0036xl6.jpg E320 Exhaust FO' FREE! http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/5633/imga0044ni6.jpg 3 HOURS! To hand saw through that. Preparing to flip the pipe and weld it back on :) http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3732/imga0052zu0.jpg Much more coming soon.(TiAL 38mm, #30 injectors, 5.0 bar fpr and oil line install) |
The 38mm TiAL wastegate is too small for your application. Go for the 44MM. Get bigger injectors unless your going to run the stock ECU. How much boost and/or horsepower are you going for?

I want 7 psi initially and in the lower 300's on power at the wheels
The mechanic at star imports said a head shim would lower the compression to around 8.7:1 but he didnt tell me which size .060 or .075" 310cc Injectors and fpr are going in last |
good start,
were are you geting the 5 bar fpr? is it going to fit the standard fuel rail? 7psi on the standard compression shouldnt be an issue, and will produce a good amount of torque  |
1. Ebay, Nuespeed 5.0 bar fpr
2. Yes 3. Lets hope :D |
Yes i know its supposedly inefficient but after driving a 450hp teg with one i think i can survive. So i present my big log. Its was ovaled, coned, welded a while back just gotta find the cams memory. :D
Thats a junk M104 head i got to borrow from Star Imports, the local mercedes repair shop around here. http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/3654/log4wv4.jpg |

Logs are a little restrictive however, your tubing is nice and big. I'd say your lookin good!
