cant wait. ANy way car is running gr8, but am still working around a few issues with the way am fuelin my car, all until i have the time to really do a new setup, either S/A or at least RBYCC way.

Finally i have installed a proper air box, its off a Mitsubshi EVO9 but installed upside down so that its feeds ar from under the right light. That box is good for some 350 hp on an EVO so it has enough in it for my setup. Boy its better pick up, top end, and even on noise. and best thing is it could almost pass as a stock part. Now making hard intake pipes is even easier. here are some pix on how it looks.

ya thanx man, its working gr8, i used to lose boost as i went up the mountain, now it just holds no matter what. my old filter was a cheap chinese 10$ one.

Had to use that one just cause it could fit there and still take only cold air..

any way, i still have some to go, like open the hood oer the intercooler, and fix my tuning once and for alll.

finally my mid-range fueling is solve, where the car used to run too lean unless u rev past 4300RPM or floor it all the way so as to activate the full load switch. its simple really, just have the full load switch trigered even on part thrott when there is boost (0.05 bar point).
Now the car feels like it has a big v8 pushing you, and i dont need to kick down every time i need the car to get going.

pretty much impressive! you are making my way on turbocharging my W124 easier

but i wont go bi-turbo, it will be an EVO 6 turbo.
will you be getting the normal W124 5 gang manual ? what about the clutch?
I will waiting for a new video run from your car! lol
PS: any dyno recently? and where are you doing it in Leb?

Hey,
My advise man when u take everything off to install the turbo kit, do take ur intake manifold off too. 2 things need to be done to make ur life easy. first there is a rubber boot (some pix posted in this thread few pages back) which u need to reinforce. I did it with a fiberglass cast. Any way while doing this try and incorporate two additional injectors either to fin into the boot just above the throttle body, or have ur manifold machined to take the injectors just below the throttle body,

Believe me man, it is not worth it trying to work around the CIS and its complications, like i have been doing for the last 7 months.
Every time i think i cracked an issue i find another. Now that i have worked around the low RPM fueling am only to find out that for some reason the car now is still running lean at around 3000 till 4000 rpm if boost is 0.5 bar.

any way if i recall right you live in Canada, try and get the split second controller for additional injectors on your way here.

as for where am doing the car, well am working on it in my free time at home.
Installing the copper HG was done at my mechanic's shop
as well as installing the turbos and the exhaust manifolds was done there.

the rest and all the fueling fixes are my doings, i dont think any understand how to work around the CIS.

i was reading the whole thread....a lot of things in here!
my car is waiting so i can complete all the kit and parts i need before i start working on it, basicly i am going evo turbo, C230 Kompressor intercooler and as you are suggesting two more injection.
i am not in a hurry since my daily drive is a 350hp C32 amg.

what happened to your EHA?

i will be in leb for xmas, if u need anything from here let me know
maybe ill give you a call to come and see your car if you dont mind.

There was an article in the August 17, 1987 Autoweek written about the man who did my recent TurboTechnics install.
Willy Mosselman stated in that article that the USA installer made the M103-12V go faster then he could.
With a 3.64:1 rear the 0-60 was 4.96 and the 0-100 was 11.98.

My TT 300CE M103-12V TT with the stock 3.07:1 rear runs 0-60 in the low to mid 5 second range and two weeks ago in 40F ran a 14.39/98.68 1/4 mile with no traction off the line.
With traction I should see mid 13's and 100mph +

I bot the 1986 300 E that was written up in the Aug 17 1987 Autoweek article from a friend 2 years ago. It had 69K on it... now has 80K. It continues to be servived by the orginal tuner, Brian Murphy of Willow Automotive in Chicago, IL. Fortunately for me, I have little reason to "visit" with Brian as the car has been very reliable. I drive it May thru November and really enjoy it. It's quite fun .... and quick. I am considering rebuilding the turbos this year, more as a precaution than out of necessity. I really enjoyed reading thru this post. I will post a few pics after the holidaze....

cooool, well my car has just crossed the 237kmiles today, and with that some 13k miles atleast after the kit install.
and am still on the original autobox and engine bar the head gasket issue,.

Well an update is due I guess

I have decided to go with an alcohol injection system and should be ordering the coolingmist kit with the Vari-cool and smart injector controller this kit has gr8 potential and several features other than just the alcohol injection. The kit can read several inputs to generate a map for how much and when to inject.

Ill be using rpm vs. boost in setting up the map, my intention to use alcohol is based on several factors. First alcohol has 2 features; it raises octane and thus resistance for detonation and it cools the intake charge which helps in my case with my top mount intercooler and the lack of oil squirt under my pistons. Thus I need to cool my pistons down a tad. Secondly I need the extra alcohol in tuning the few lean spots I have in my tune.

second feature the kit has is the programmable out put triggers, ill use that to trigger the full throttle switch when running on part throttle. The controller can be set to trigger the switch when boost is present and rpm is below say 4500, above that its off. In my case I run lean when on part throttle in that range but fine above 4500 rpm but if I keep the enrichment on car gets very rich above 4500 on.

any way I should be getting the kit here by the 6th of jan 09, and will post the results once installed and running.
kit also has a flow sensor to detect clogged injector and it has several fail safe options, btw with alcohol I should be able to advance my spark which will yield more hp on same boost.

PS now in the cold of winter here (morning temps 7 degrees Celsius) my car is running 0.6 bar boost instead of the usual 0.5 bar

Well waiting for the kit to arrive, i needed to keep my self busy

. so i went out got me a used washer pump for less than 10usd connected its power to the already existing pump and now i have intercooler sprays

^Brilliant work been reading this thread for a while-but only just joined this site.
I have a M103 Mosselman TT aswell, the original management has packed up so using the same Split Second unit as RBYCC as recommended by him.(thanks Ed)
Need to source a 2nd hand plenum to get machined to mount the injectors.
How long did it take you to make your plenum out of fibreglass? also what injectors are you using?
and once again brilliant work!
