Awesome!

I bet that thing hauls ass, what are your performance impressions of the 500SEC/M119?

Also, do you have any plans to up the power output of your stock 5.0 such as SC / Turbo?

Nice Web site as well!

thanks guys!

Yes, it's FAST!

Here's the deal:

stock '92 500SL - 0-60 in 6.1-6.3 seconds with 2.65 rear end, 2nd gear start, emissions equipment, 4190 lbs, and ASR.

MY SEC: 200lbs LIGHTER than the SL, no emissions, no ASR, 1st gear start, 3.07 rear end, 18" tires for traction.

I've GOT to be in the 5.7-6.0 range for 0-60.

I have always loved the w126 coupes. But now I think I love em even more now that I have seen your car.

Perhaps one day I will have pics of my 300CE with a big V8 stuffed in it. ehehe

I agree with Ashman. I won't mind swaping my 300CE for a W126 500SEC now.

That is a very nice ride there. Great job.

Shucks guys....I'm blushing. Thanks for all the kind words!

:-)

Yes, it is a fine sense of accomplishment everytime someone asks, "...so who did the work?" and I reply, "me myself and I".

You should have seen all the techs at the MB dealership on Monday when I popped the hood in the service drive to ask a parts person about a clamp for the motor. While I was talking, completely ignoring my whole engine conversion, etc., he was just standing there in awe...

Great job! Your car is really nice. Now just imagine a 600 V-12 in that engine bay.....
