I was wondering if anyone on here has completed an engine conversion for the W124. The engines I'm leaning against are the Toyota 1JZGTE, 2JZGTE and even the BA XR6T (although this hasn't been done before) engines.
How much should I expect to pay to have the engines fitted? Not including the engine itself.

Is there a turbo kit for the e220?

Anywhere from 1500-2000 or so, from experience, in these parts for a custom engine and transmission mounting fabrication. Most fab shops, again at least around here, charge $100 per hour for custom work.

XR6T is one of the best engines Ford ever made... I vote for that one! What does the car have now? Problems?

No problems at all car is mechanically excellent. Was a single owner female since new with full service history and 170,000kms. No rattles, whines, leaks anything.

The problem is they dont make cars like they use to. My previous car was a 2006 Focus st and at 20,000kms it was showing more problems than this car at 170,000kms. Even with new BMWs. My parents get a new one as soon as the warranty is finishing to avoid problems. Im so surprised how well the interior held up in this car and how comfortable the seats are, and with more power would just be an awesome sleeper.

Does anyone know how much these cars weigh?

I think the MB I6 engines respond very well to turbocharging. Which one is in this car?
