I had advanced the exhaust cam one tooth to get rid of the overlap. I had done a lot of reading and blown motors usually run little to no overlap. It made since because you just blow through instead of filling. 1 tooth put the exhaust cam perfectly on opening at bottom and closing at top. Thought it was worth a try.
I may try retarding the intake cam some day. But not for now.

I run to 6800 rpm in 1st and 6000 in the rest. I am pretty much maxed out of fuel right now.

This seems like a real promising build.. maybe some of your ideas can be used on the M111

Well got down to the dyno yesterday. I picked up 11.2 lb/ft of torque at the wheels down low and got the fuel a little more dialed in. Same wheel hp as before but this is on pump gas instead of e85. I turn my intake cam off at 4800 rpm because of exhaust back pressure but it is looking like I should keep it on now. I did not do a pull with it on all the way because I ran out of time and my laptop was acting up and tuning was not working very well and decided not to brick my ecu, which almost happened. I lost around 10-15 whp and 20 wtq when the cam turned off and if it stayed the way it was going at that point then I think that the difference would have been there. I will go back in the spring to dial it in on e85. I hope to hit 425 whp or more on e85 and the tune dialed in.
The cam thing is interesting. I would love to be able to play with it more easily beyond the standard settings.

Thats great. Are you running the same ignition timing as before or were you able to run more ? Interesting to see if your car will react the same way as mine if you keep the cam on longer .

I'd install water-injection just as a safety factor . . .

I do not need meth. My intake temps are fine and I run e85.

Not Meth, just straight distilled water to keep any possible detonation down.

BTW: does the Tec3 count/monitor detonation ?

I'm running straight water on my rotary, just in case.

Adding meth, means your adding fuel as well, so you'll have to lean the gas injectors.

:-) neil
