Hmm...can we modify this thread title to include E550 owners?

Cause I just picked one up.

2007 E550 4Matic. Love it. Sport package, premium package.

Very fast, love this engine.

I'm sorry but I cannot edit the title to include yous

You're just going to have to start your own thread for W211 E550 owners.

Congrats on the new car !

Hi.

Below in the signature is my 500's. Had them for 3 and 3.5 years now. I've also had a converted stationwagon to 500TE, that's a rare car. Nice to see a lot of the other fellows from 500Espot here.

Cheers

I'm still here, though intermittently, and I still have mine after 12 years. 1992 500E still all original except I eventually added the E55 wheels. Came close to selling twice over the years but both times I wanted it worse than they did. Every time I drive it I am glad I did not sell it. It just fits like a glove everytime you put it on.

PS,
I just posted a thread. My old diagnostic CD's no longer work. If anyone has advice, would appreciate some guidance. It appears to need some software that I no longer have.

At one time, someone on the post kept a list of most of the current 500E owners. Does anyone still do that?

What diagnostic CD's are you referring to? Do you mean the factory service manuals? These are available online now, for free:

Official MB Model 124 Service Library (with annoying Flash interface) :
http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12264/?requestedDocId=12264

Mirrored version with awesome HTML interface courtesy of Steve Nervig:

For diagnostic trouble code info on the 500E, use this document with your hand-held blink code reader:

Same here. I found if you go into one of the folders and click on the "avick" file it will work.

Not sure, but the vast majority of E500E / 124.036 owners are over at the new ********* since 500Ecstasy died a couple years ago:

Thumbs up

Hi Dwight ! I didn't know you've had yours that long; 13 years here.

Yes, Michael was early on keeping a database of owners and cars. Gerry has a more complete list now thru his site. Definitely pop in and say hello over there.

1994 E500
55,000 miles
Desert taupe color (awful, hate it, but when I found this car 10 years ago it had only 25,000 miles on it so I had to buy it)
Completely stock and original (except for ASR defeat switch and front ABS defeat switch)

I'll own one again some day, I genuinely believe that the 500E was built when MB was at their best. The newer cars are nice but the build quality just can't compare.

Absolutely! The last coach-built MB (even if by Porsche) until Maybach

Hi Dean,

It's been a while.

I think the 500E gave me the Porsche bug, I have since owned a couple of 928's which I sold and I now have a Boxster Spyder. The Spyder is definitely not going anywhere, I just need to make more money so I can get the 500E too.
