If I remember correctly it's a fairly straight froward drill and tap job. Their may be some minor milling of the casting involved but it's been a while since I looked at it. I do remember my block having pre-drilled centering holes ready to accept oilers. Do you already have the oilers and block apart?

Also, I'd highly suggest you have the block dipped to get all the bits of metal out of your oil galley. Run a reamer down it to deburr as well.

Great suggestion...

I used to wash the bare blocks down after machining with a strong solution of Tide detergent powder and water.
Blow it dry with an air gun, then paint all the exposed non machined surfaces with GE Glyptal.
Seals in any left over metal bits and smooths the porous castings.
Oil flows back to the galleys much quicker.

i changed over my m104 engine to a new m104 engine, and the new m104 didnt even have oil squirters, but it had all the machining done in the block already, so all i had to do was drill thru to the oil gallery and put them in,
i just carefully drilled thru with grease on the drill bit, i didnt even dip the block or anything, just gave it a good clean out and used a magnet to make sure i got all the filing etc, i was confident i got all the filings when i put it back together and it hasnt caused me any problems

IIRC the 103 pistons will interfere with the oilers and will need a small notch cut into the skirt to clear the oilers. There are two types of oilers, 104 and 603. I liked the positioning of the 603 oilers and would use them in my engine before the 104 oilers. Whichever ones you choose to use check for interference with the piston skirt.
