Renntech Sway Bar

In my quest to up the handling of my 300CE, I've come across an offer to sell me a Renntech 124 Sway Bar which, I'm told, was fabbed as a 500E upgrade but will fit on any 124. Does anyone here have any info on this sway bar?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Find out the diameter of the Renntech bar.
It will fit, but it will have a different shape then what is used on the 300CE I6 engine.

I run 300CE Sportline bars front and rear with a great deal more power then stock with great results !

I don't know the diameter, but from the picture I saw, it dwarfs the 500E sway bar. Probably unnecessary, and it would cost two to three times what a Sportline sway bar costs.

Did you use the MB Springs and shocks/struts or did you go Bilstein/Eibach? The latter is less expensive by a bit.

Too much of a bar can be as bad as not enough bar.

The Sportline works well.
I use it with H&R Sport lowering springs and Bilstein HD struts and shocks.

I prefer the HD's over the Sports as it gives me the handling performance that I wanted.

The Renntech bar is 30mm, the 500e bar is 28mm

Here is a complete breakdown of all the sway bars

That's very interesting, thanks! So the Sportline sway bar is the stock sway bar on a number of 90-95 models. Is that right? I think Sportline is
124 323 68 65 front and 124 326 19 65 rear.

From Dave M's (gsxr) site.

http://w124performance.com/docs/mb/W124/124_swaybars.pdf

I am running 500E bars on my wagon, with sportline springs... (Dave M suggestion.)

I don't want to go too low as roads here are complete crap, but I like the lowered, somewhat more aggressive stance.

Not to mention my wagon goes rallying every so often...

That's a beautiful color combination on the CE! I'm assuming your turbo setup is a Mosselman kit?
