C32 supercharger problem. Replacing options

My C32 have a weird sound going on all the way.
I got it checked at MB and it seems the supercharger pulley is the cause of that weird sound.
I am trying to find a supercharger pulley so i can buy it and replace my bad one.
Since i am not finding any yet, i found the superchager pulley from code3 performance which will cost around 700$ and will get me more power.

My question is, what should the original supercharger pulley cost me?
and have anyone an idea if with replacing the pulley with the code3 upgraded one, will the ugly ticking sound go off??
Have anyone already installed this code3 pulley?

Most likely what you hear isnt the pully itself but the bearing that often goes bad. Code3performance sells the replacement bearing but if you want to upgrade to their lighter pulley its well worth the money! You get a good amount of HP increased for a mod that costs less then $1K.

I never tried testing the pulley the way it shows in the video. Ill try to do that soon and check if its the same sound.
I am still thinking if i swap for the code3 sc pulley but someone suggested me not to do it, coz of reliability and low miles per galon that the car will get. he said the car will drink fuel as hell with that sc pulley.

What do you mean by reliability? And i havent noticed a decrease in fuel economy in my car since the mod. I still get 21mpg on the freeway, which i have been getting even stock.

Once you start getting into crank pulley mods thats where you will see a decrease in mpg. But thats just a given, if you want more power you have to sacrifice fuel economy.

Is the pulley from Code3 just ligher or is it different in diameter too?

Reliability wont change at all with a lighter pulley unless its a cheap no name brand, all it will change really is the speed at which the engine increases in revs and it will "increase" economy/MPG all due to less rotational inertia..... unless you go for a smaller diameter pulley, but thats a whole other kettle of fish and alot more fun

But honestly, a lighter pulley will only really net you about 5hp max and a fraction of a MPG better and cost alot more... the rest of the hp comes from getting the car tuned again they do go out of tune eventually. The real changes come when u mess with the diameters of pulley, that WILL change the boost pressure and with a change in boost pressure your reliability drops unless you make sure the engine can handle the extra boost/heat produced. But as was said before, more power = less reliability and economy.

The code 3 pulley is a different diameter as well. Even without a tune the pulley brings in +34rwhp/40.3rwtq Peak combined with their intake mod.

The boost is increased as well, but its no where near the superchargers limit or capability. It can push more with crank pulley mods but thats when you get into less reliability and fuel economy.

i was worried about reliability since my engine got 190 000 KM on it. The engine got not a problem until now but i have no idea what is the average mileage this engine can go to.
any ideas on this one?
well the fuel economy isnt the matter...i dont drive a C32 AMG to be economic on fuel but what that guy told me is that his car got drastic changes in fuel drinking.
I am just wondering if thats true...

Only change on economy will be when your hard on the gas and the SC is running(it wont be much change then either, maybe a few MPG less at full throttle), otherwise it will be normal.

Reliability shouldn't be a problem, 190,000km is not that much really, the engine should make it to 1mill km pretty easily is normal maintenance items are done. And as Greasybenz said its only a small increase in boost so it wont push the engine out of its safe operating limits.

does anyone knows what is the size of that bearing? someone told me he got one for his benz from a bearing store and its working great and it cost pretty much nothing (15$)

The bearing used by code3 is the best you can get on the market. It is an NSK bearing with the part number NSK 32BD45DU. You can get a cheaper replacement like DAC32550023 that will work just fine but might not stay in shape for a long time
For sure you can do that by yourself but try to have a press with you to be able to get the bearing out.

Yeah get the NSK bearing. The cheaper bearing wont last very long as many have come to find out.
