I heard that I can put a Chevy350 motor in my 89 420SEL. And if so can you or anyone help me with the understanding of the process? Thanks for input.

It's like putting any motor into any other car it wasn't designed for basically time and patience. It would be no different than the task I had of putting an M120 into my 560SL, just a different set of challenges.

Basically if the intent is just to get a Chevy under the hood not worth it. If the intent is to get maximum power for cheep under the hood, not a bad idea.

If you can do your own fabrication of mounts and other adapters it might be cheaper than screwing with the Mercedes power. Using a 97 and up LS engine will result in a nice smooth powerful result-don't bother with carbureted.
