ITBs on 3.6 m104?

I'm coming from a bmw background, but have always loved mercedes tuning. I've dd'ed a w124 for the last 5years, love it to death..but it's finally time for more. I want to get it off the road and throw a 3.6 m104 from a c36 into it. Aside from really basic tuning parts, there really isn't much more off the shelf to do. So I was curious if anyone has ran ITBs on a m104, and possibly even a carbon airbox like on dtm cars. I know it will cost money, I know I won't get that much more power, but damn..do they sound neat. So any help would greatly be appreciated.

I think the Carlsson C37 had them. But there isn't too much info on that. Found this though:

I think a stand-alone ECU, camshafts (maybe), and ITB's will net a decent amount of extra power, actually.

Thanks. I was hoping for something like that. Now need to figure out how to do it..probably just get some motorcycle ITBs and get a custom flange, etc.

Sure. If you go to 190 revolution, there are some folks who've done ITB's for the 2.3 16v that might be able to help. If you do go through with it, make sure and take pictures.

ITB's on a 4cyl 2.3 16V Benz... very nice...... it would be outstanding to see them on a 3.8 V8.. Possibilities....

Yeah, I follow all the 16v sites, and that actually is my next project once I sell my m3. Though, I am going to do something quite different than what most people have the done to their 16vs in the past.

Also, I am up for suggestions on any other engine. It just has to not be overweight, has to have a tri star, and possible to mod decently.
