My 300TE has seen north of 135mph.
My 1993 400E pulled to just north of the 160 on the speedo... I dont think that they are quite limited. Or the chip actually works.
My 1996 SL600 pulls hard to 160, and keeps going north....
The G500 goes 115ish then stops accelerating...
I dont know about the 190E, but the fastest its gong is a few hairs north of 110.

Does anyone have any 0-60 data on the 1988 560SL. I did the 1/4 mile in 15.073 @ 91 mph. But I have no 0-60 data. My 1/4 mile was done with a 1st gear start and power braking.

According G-Tech my W201 190D pulled 14.18@109mph 1/4-mile and according dyno results top speed should be more than 150mph. Fortunately diesel is not a performance car, maybe those poor results can be accepted.

Exclamation 147

well about a year ago, while on my way to san fran, I hit a long empty stretch on the 5 freeway in my 1989 420sel... I managed 147mph before i started thinking about how in the hell i would stop the thing . 4000lbs at 147 is a frightening thing, what really scared me was that it was still climbing.
Needless to say i don't think i'll ever know its max speed... But i can tell you one thing for sure, its enough.... more than enough.

My top speed has been ~198kph in my 190D 2.5 turbodiesel 5sp. It did take some time to get there though.

I don't care about top speed though. I want better acceleration. 100+kph is enough to loose the license for an yea in my country.

I've had my 98 C230 to 134 on I-39 in Illinois at 3am. Rock solid the entire time. Here in Utah the highest has been around 115, but higher altitude, less air. I've cruised it at 105 for a hour before. What a way to eat up miles. With that soft start tranny thing, the 0-60 sucks. Any way to get rid of that?

The 124 300e i think is about 119.

my 84 500 SEC I estimate maybe 130 to 135. I never had enough room to accelerate until it would not accelerate any more.

a 123 300 dt is about 100.

my 83 300d euro na is about 100.

a 240d is about 82 to 85.

my 84 280e euro I estimate might be 130 or so, again, never had room to find out for sure.

My 03 Dodge ram with six manual and cummins will do about 109.

My old fintail 190c would do about 92.

My 1992 w124 E300 before turbo kit car was dyno tested at 205 hp flywheel:
Top speed: 235 km/h (once hit 240+ but had a slight downhill run)
0 - 62 mph : 7.3 sec ; 0-100mph : 17.1 sec

Now with mosselman twin turbo kit:
Top speed: 245 km/h (rev limiter in 4th)
0 - 62 mph : 5.8 sec ; 0-100mph : 12.9
above times need to be verified ;so just an idea
but i have a 1/4 mile run with bad traction 13.9 sec @ 102
and back then the run was done with the car using a small restrictive air filter and 15in skinny tires.

I have a 91 300SEL, And I have toped out at 159. But I had the chip removed, the cats cut out and the stock mufflers replaced with a pair of flow master 40's with dump pipes.
Did the same mods to 89 190E 2.6 and it tops out at 139. But on it I did side dump cafe pipes with a pair of 18" glasspacks, From 3200 to red line it cackles like an old Detroit diesel.

I was not aware the 1991 300SEL even had a speed limiter on them. My 1991 300CE didn't have one. Even with a 40hp advantage over your 177hp M103, I doubt mine would go over 150....something seems unusual.
