Disabling the speed limiter on a 97 E320?

I have a feeling it involvings putting a switch on the VSS sensors. I'm not going 150mph on the road so don't give me that BS, I want to do a top speed run on a mustang dyno.

Any ideas on how to temporarily disengage the speed limter for a proper, turbo-fied, 160+mph run on the dyno?

you need to go to someone with the Mercedes star diagnostic tool, only he can remove the 130mph limit. if u disconnect any of the vss, you might get limp home mode, 40% throttle if not less. As far as I now.

There shouldn't be any reason to attempt a max speed run on any dyno.
They are not designed for that.
If you are capable of 160MPH you will find that your power peaks are below the RPM required to go max 160MPH.
It's all dependent on your rear end final drive ratio.
You want to dyno as near as 1:1 transmission output as possible, but still acceptable to dyno an automatic car in third gear.
Less time you spend on a pull the better.
Keeps the heat soak down which reduces power.

A dyno is not designed as a device to measure top speed.
Typically, the higher the horsepower rating of the dyno, the higher the speed capability.

Once the torque and horsepower peaks are recorded, there is no reason to continue the pull.
