My local police department recently wrote off one of their chargers in a collision. It still runs and tries to move under it's own power. It has less than 50,000Km on it. It WAS the traffic car so I know it hasn't been bagged.

I'm very sure that is a 5spd auto not 6spd auto. (It's actually a Mercedes trans!)

If you can make the electronic controls work for the eng. and trans., I'm sure the rest will seem easy.

I think it would be a fairly straight forward swap. Chargers did come with the 722.6 MB 5 speed but they may have gone to a 6 speed in recent years? thats a 425HP engine. I think it would be a respectable swap.

I'm very sure it's still the 5spd auto and I don't think the cop cars ever came with the 6.1L 425 hp SRT8 engine. The 5.7 is nothing to sneeze at though. A guy could do much worse.

I see ALOT of similarities that look like they (with little modification) could be adapted to work. I'm gonna size up one of the differentials next time I have one on the lift

I get to drive a Charger Super Bee from time to time.. Today being one of them. I will say the 6.1L is a lot more brutal than the 300C's 5.7L Hemi..

60-80mph in a blink of an eye and it holds its own a 130.

go buy a 6.9 and do a few things to it.
