oooops my bad, was having a blonde moment yeah, will still be running with the COP's as this takes care of the ignitors so, one less thing to fit somewhere.

hmmmmm now that is a good idea. Saves the heatsoak issue with COP's mounted directly on the plugs I never liked the heat issues that cars like the Z32 300Zed's are infamous for, even though alot of that heat comes from a huge mass stuffed tight into a low bonnet, no room to move engine bay. I think the LS2's are a stronger beast? I thought there were 2 types. both have different loom plug ends.....

Would consider it for sure but if Trent wants first dibs, that's fine with me!

Depends on what COP's your going to use, some have built in ignitors others don't . There is no problem to run COP with LPG injection, a friend of mine runs such a setup in his BMW 328 turbo and has no problems at all.

Oh.... OK Joreto. I had thought all COP's had built in ignitors. Well, pretty sure the Chev LS1 & 2's I am interested in have ignitors built in. I researched it a while back but I'll have to revisit all this soon up ahead.

Right now I just want my parcel of goodies to be sent off & can't wait it's arrival. Though I got far too much other stuff going on in my life right now & for the next year, it'll bring back the incentive I need to push on

In the process of negotiating a deal to purchase another 300E. It is an 86' complete car that I want as a donor/parts car so I can use complete engine bay looms/wiring mainly & toss all the butchered engine bay harness/s. It also has stock mags with new beefy tyres which will help with engineer cert & RWC etc. Also has a towbar that I can maybe fit minus the ball & tongue when not in use so it can be kinda stealth? This would be a very rare & expensive part here if you wanted it new & near impossible to locate a 2nd hand one that's for sure! Radiator looks quite new.

It did have bad condensation under oil cap along with fair bit of steam rising out of filler hole when not even warmed up? Definitely no coolant in engine oil nor oil in radiator/reservoir tank so, just think it's been sitting a while......

Only prevented me from securing the deal was it wouldn't run properly nor drive under load. It was bought by panel shop from auction so, may have been sitting for a time & has bad fuel &/or blocked filter? It did idle sweet but not for long enough.

Seller will be getting a once over done by mechanic over the weekend & I will be contacting him on the Monday to go see it again. Is actually good enough to do up as is & register but paintwork is shagged & I may as well strip the shat outta it & have engine/trans/diff/headlights etc as spares, then piz it off for scrap metal.

I can even use the twin thermo fans & may even reconnect aircon up again using donor parts? I am moving to Qld within next few years where weather is very hot! I really want to do without A/C but it's no fun driving in the heat without it. I have A/C in my Commodore & aint it sweet ma I could however do with the extra space without the compressor though where it sits.........

So, hopefully I get my parcel from Estonia friggin soon & I can give a fark again guys. I was so enthusiastic until workshops let me down so badly, then this OS engineer that diked me around so. I am hamstrung until these parts arrive. I know I can still begin the boring, laborious mechanical work in the meantime but I rally couldn't be bothered til' I see the diamonds Been through too much with this car & desperately need some HUGE incentive to keep going. Specially seeing I need to practice guitar again & so have very little spare time.

It will have to be a real love that erks me on now. But, I do need to get things going sooner than later. Hopefully I can begin the sin real soon haha If I do get this donor car, this may be the incentive I need

GUESS WHAT ARRRIVED TODAY FROM ESTONIA???

Well, parcel arrived from Estonia today. Amazingly nothing was damaged except minor plastic piece. Also, think it was a little difficult for engineer to make the WG return-to-downpipe section of piping? Will have to modify part of the tubular manifold to my liking & need to complete fabrication/welding of pipe from WG returning to downpipe. Cannot do that as yet until I trial-fit header/turbo/downpipe to engine (hopefully in morning) then, I can mock up a WG to downpipe for welding. Also, the turbine exhaust flange needs to be welded to down pipe once it is in correct position (fun fun). Then, along with IC, I can drop it all off to welder for completion, bring it all home soon & fit it up so I can commence with the IC plumbing & radiator positioning/bracket making etc

The VEMS harness is very nice & so are the cam & crank trigger set ups inc crank trigger wheel

Hopefully have some pics to upload tomorrow morn also, @ least of the parts as they were delivered & perhaps the mock set up if I have time???

Sorry guys, have not had time to even go out to car, let alone a mock install with header & turbo. As it is I have to downsize all pics using JPeg compressor, prior to uploading.

Have spent the last week reloading software/drivers etc on my wife's notebook (I'm now using) - mine has gone to the great PC place in the sky. Gee, that was fun

Will hopefully get the mock install done & upload some piccies within next 2 days......

I hope you don't mind the delicious irony i find in you having gone to so much trouble to buy a package from half way around the world only for it to contain a wategate made here in Australia!!!!

Haha, Clay, yeah I had to laugh. To top it off, that was one of the parts he had to wait for before sending gear LOLOL But, @ $250 Euro verses EBay prices ranging from $550-$800 here Makes you wonder

I'm a little pissed with the header. I have fit all the header studs & re-drill @ least one of the header holes as it won't bolt on as it stands. Not a big deal but a pita all the same. Must of been difficult having to fab it up as a RHD when they only have LHD models over there as examples?

Just means I can't have pics til I sort this.

M103 300E New Standard & Performance Parts 4 sale:

Guys, I'll be brief!

I am asking for expressions of interest on ALL parts, inc the choice of buying car (as is) &/or any parts with it offered

I am seriously considering selling off car & all new & used parts I have been collecting over past 12 months for my project. Obviously, many here know of this project.

I cannot disclose why I have to decide to end project. Reasons are quite personal, none the least financial!!!

I will put a full list up in morning, as I have to work this evening til' late.

Most parts you will not get here for same price as I will sell them to you for. Will explain more in morn!.

If I get serious buyers wanting @ least most parts, I will then offer them up & take deposits.

Only 1 other forum will have these parts offered for now.

Cheers all & will talk agian 2morrow :rr:

Basically guys, of course this is a horrible decision for me to make. 2 years & 2 months the car has sat motionless one way or another. I'm simply tired of the continuing run-around & I now have less time to get the car on the road, due to having to move to another residence in the near future so, will lose the huge shed I have the beasty in now That's the obvious, main problem but it is also due to not having the time/incentive enough do further work that's necessary. This is due to both, not having enough experience to do some of the technical aspects (I have to admit it) & don't wanna go down the road again of having to toe the car to & from a-hole workshops, just to be sufffed round again & again. Lastly, I have to support my wife in her career endeavour (she has no family down here in Vic & moving to QLD is out for a while yet) which involves me giving her too many hrs a week to even imagine getting this car on the road within next 12 months......

As some would know, I had made my decision to go for the liquid LP installment. Yes, this would be the most awesome road to take, especially considering car is on dedicated LPG anyway (no petrol tank, pumps anything, but, it is only available in a kit form, supplied & must be fitted by exclusive workshop, but this does not include installing/tuning of the new VEMS ecu so would mean I have to then, once LPI is installed, toe the car back home, complete fitting & configuring the ECU to the fresh LPI set up & then, toe it again to tuning workshop for the dyno etc.

Also, took a really time-consuming trip just I even drove 1 1/2 hrs to check out one of the only other red W124's (a 260E actually) with black interiors that I have come across, with the intent of just swapping out the running gear from my 300E into this new one that was advertised on Ebay & ended few days ago. Some may have seen it? Well, the body/paintwork was still superior on mine so, was back to finishing off mine.....

So, I want to begin with EOI concerning taking the car as is (obviously for those members in OZ) which means the complete shell & interior with running gear (low km engine,) rebuilt auto trans & drive shafts/diff etc) on the original mags that were on the car (in pics on this thread) with good tread. This will undoubtedly be the cheapest way for anyone to pick up a bargain. Note, car has original 55k mileage & respray only 2-3 years prior to me purchasing her & has since sat either in a workshop or my garage (barely seen the light of day all this time).

Failing that, car will be completely & utterly be parted out to highest bidders/offers. Failing that (if it takes too long on some parts etc, I will be wacking them up on EBay. Obvious things that will go quick will be engine, trans, & new parts just arrived from Estonia.

Thanks guys for reading. I am contactable via PM's. OZ members, I will PM you my mobile if interested
