I need help on H&R bilstein combo for sl 500
 

i want to install h&r sport springs and bilstein sports on my 1998 mercedes sl 500. the problem is, everywhere i look, the h&r springs only go up to 1996. that confuses me. i know that the 1996 chassis and my chassis are identical, but why does h&r only list their springs up to 1996 and nothing else? somebody please help me. i think the springs for the 1996 should fit on my car. and also, does anybody know if bilsteins make sport shocks for my car? i can't find them anywhere on the internet. any advice would be highly appreciated.

I have found Eibach springs on Tire Rack. They are exclent springs I have them on my E420.

I don't know about the shocks. You can try www.shox.com they will probly have them.

I have Eibach springs on my 91 SL. Also Bilsteins HD were the only shocks that I could find. The Eibachs lowered the car about 1.4 inches this was to close for the tires that I have. 245-40-18.
I had to make spacers to raise the car up about .8 The springs are very nice about 20% stiffer. The HD Bilsteins could be a little harder. Body roll is much less at high speed.
