You should pick up allenjdmb's OEM MB 500e wheels (~$500 for a set of 4) or I believe Dean as well has a set of OEM 500e wheels with tires for a bit more...if you desire to keep oem equipment with your e500....

Car looks great with those SL wheels! However, if I were gonna change them out as -fad suggested, go 17" like the car was meant to have

Another thing-if you want an inexpensive upgrade, take some plumber's tape (sorta like sandpaper on a 1" wide roll) and polish your exhaust tips-they're Stainless Steel under the paint & road grime. Mine shine quite nicely, and it only took maybe 15 minutes. Beats paying for a $500 muffler to have pretty tips!

Thanks guys. She has about 57k miles on the clock. Yeah, it came with the SL rims, not sure why. I'll definitely buy some aftermarket wheels eventually, though I'll probably wait for the tires to wear out. I was thinking 18s, is that too much for this chassis? It looks like 19s would fit, but that would be too much of a compromise.

Michael - I think I'll try polishing the tips. Does it have any adverse effects?

I'm very proud of her, and she is an absolute joy to drive!

Only downside is that they do get dirty, so I give 'em a quick once-over every few weeks to keep them nice. If you took a buffing wheel to them, they can be made to look like chrome, but I haven't bothered
