Tune ups
Are there anyway to make my 20001 S500 go faster without heavy modifications or a huge chunk of change. Can I just drop a S55 engine in? I dude is selling it from his wreck. Is there anything else that I need to know?

Hoo Boy!
Well, NO you can't make it go faster without some tricky modifications. YES it would take a huge chunk of change. NO you can't just drop in a S55 motor. Well, you COULD, but the S55 also has an AMG engine control module, and you can't just drop that in, because the control module interfaces with other control modules, one biggy being the EIS, or electronic ignition switch. If you start fooling around with these types of things, pretty soon the S55 motor won't even try to start, and after all that work, it'll make you feel like 2 cents real quick. For all the work and money you're talking here, why not just buy a faster car? Buy an S55, or a S600, or a CL600, or how about a C32AMG, I here that's pretty darn fast!!! Gilly
