Reset C36 transmission
I was wondering whether the 4-speed automatic transmission in my 1995 C36 is an 'adaptive' transmission? If so, how can I reset it to factory default settings?

I don't think they're particularly adaptive, certainly not enough to ever need 'resetting'. I think all it really does is to put itself into a 'sport' mode when you're driving harder, using more throttle etc, where it holds onto the gears longer and doesn't change up so easily, and changes down earlier. I don't think they really remember anything for more than a few minutes. I may be entirely wrong though.

The "adaptive" transmission is the 722.6 and it was installed in the V8 and V12 cars in '96, and in everything else in '97. It is a fully electro-hydraulic transmission with a control module controlling the shifts according to various inputs. It does adapt to different drivers. The procedure to re-adapt the trans is fairly long. So, to answer your question, no. The transmission in a '95 C36 is not resettable.
