Very cool. Has as much torque as the C36 M104 engine, just not as much HP.
I wonder if it has DOT & EPA certificates, and if it can be registered in California. . . I'm leary that it has the electronic 5-speed auto tranny. :-) neil 1988 360TE AMG 1993 500E

No longer bidding
Beware! This car has...issues. SRS and ASR likely off-line (read $$$$$), lots of paintwork, questionable pedigree (an AMG product with Sportline badges, standard-fare brakes, and a large-ish steering wheel (assuredly not a Sportline-diameter wheel)), Monobelt tensioner on way out, no wind block ($650 alone for the part), etc.
If you plan to bid on this car (I do not), plan to drop some serious dinero, likely $5-7k plus, to get it right. If it ever was really right?

Bummer
Too bad, Mike, sounded and looked nice.
Maybe Kristine would like an SL? Sherry's presently working over her dad for one as a wedding present...then the girls can go cruise to the beach for the day while we go romp around in our 500s... Anybody know if there was even a Sportline convertible made? for here or the Euro market? I was under the impression that only coupes and sedans got that treatment.
