Performance Meters

I just purchased a new AP22 from Race-Technology.com
Have not had much time to play with it but from what I have seen
it is very impressive.

Has anyone else had experience with it?

What kind of results are they seeing with it?

0-60?
HP peaks
0-1/4 mi?
etc.

I hope to spend more time with it next weekend.

Thanks for the input

PS Does anyone have the actual weight of a 92 500E?

Specs I have seen show something around 3900 lbs. but is this a dry weight or a loaded weight or what?

1992 500E Weight

Dwight,

Per the 4/92 Automobile Magazine, a 1992 500E weighed 3855 pounds. I assume this number came from the M-B press kit of the time, and probably assumes a full tank of gas, but no passengers.

Hope this helps,
Kirk

A copy of which sits on my desk "LIKE A DRUG"

Thanks for the response. I was not sure if it included all the fluids such as full tank of gas or whether that was a shipping weight or one of MB's test weights (1/2 tank + 2 passengers).

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Dwight

Dwight,

I, too, have a copy of "Like A Drug" on my desk. I must have read that article 20 times when it first came out in 1992, and I still read through it from time to time. It is solely responsible for my buying my car; I knew back in '92 that I must have a 500E, and 8 years and 8 months later, my car was flatbedded to my home. Ah, the miracle of depreciation!

Kirk, I too drooled over these cars for some time, but only actually spent 2 years looking. Then I found it in a parking lot down the street from my house. The rest, as they say, is history.

Keep motoring

Dwight
If you ever get this way look me up.
