Kompressor?
pls what does this "Kompressor" i see behind CLKs mean ?
|
Hi!
It means that the car has a compressor, a kind of supercharger that adds hp and torque. Basically, it means that a 320CLK with "Kompressor" is a much more powefull car than a 320CLK without it. |
Well a Kompressor IS a supercharger, that's the German word for it. And 320s are not available with a Kompressor. The only Kompressor CLKs available are euro-only models.
|
The 320 does come with a supercharger if you buy the C32 or the SLK32. They are intercooled and supercharged.
IF you own non-supercharged version, you can purchase a Kleemann kit to add one! |
Very true, but I was referring to the CLK. ;)
|
You can add the word 'Kompressor' once you buy an aftermarket supercharger from Kleemann, HPS or Spirit, etc.

I hear...
Just by adding the "Krompressor" badge by itself you get 2 HP!:D ;) :p :)

The car will actually be slower from 0-60. The extra weight of the 'kompressor' badge will slow the car down a bit. The slalom time is reduced significantly. He-He!:D :D :D |
Not only the weight that will play a vital role in speed .. Even the drag coefficient will be reduce dramtically....:D :D :D
|
What if I add just an intercooler?
