V8 in a W124

Of course you can. AMG (remember the HAMMER) did it and RennTech and Brabus also did/does it and V12's also. Quiet as its kept, there's an SLK as well as a 3 series BMW running around out there(in the UK) with a V12's in it

The inside bay on the w124'z are all pritty much the same. if you
really wanted you can even fit a v12 in the w124 (E600.)

I CALLED UP RENNTECH A WHILE AGO, AND ASKED IF THEY CAN FIT THE V12 AND THEY SAID ITS COULD BE DONE, BUT IT WOULD COST I THINK SOMEWHERE AROUND 50-70 THOUSAND TO FIT A STOCK MBZ V12 ENGINE IN MY E500. BOB TOLD ME ITS BETTER OFF UPGRADING THE ENGINE TO A 6.0 V8 CUZ ITS LIGHTER THEN THE V12 WITH THE SAME HP, OR EVEN MORE!

ALBERT.

heh...anything is possible...if you've got a sufficient balance in the bank.

But in all seriousness, the 500CE is a car that I (along with many other Benz enthusiasts) wish that DB had produced.

Hmmm...can anyone say project?

You might find a couple laying around in Europe, several years ago a gentleman from Denmark forwarded me a advertisement with a 500CE listed from a AutoTrader equivelant newspaper. It in fact was a custom AMG job if I remember correctly, wish I still had the image file???
