Question For Mb Doc

Would you explain the differences between the Eoro and US versions of the early 300E?

Not much difference at all. Cam had slightly more lift & fuel system controls allowed a slightly richer mixture. Also the ignition module had a "OCTANE" selector for more ignition timing.
MBUSA had a recall on some of the US versions for the "euro" cam installed by mistake. WE checked the HP on our DYNO & found that the cars lost about 1.5 hp after changing.
