Near bolt on large throttle body for M104

I have not tried to bolt these on yet, just compared loose throttle bodies so far. It looks like the TB will bolt right on and not interfere, the electrical connector will need to be changed and a rubber sleeve put over the air intake hub. Electrically I'd expect it to be the same but I have not verified yet.

Stock M104 70 MM bore
1997 M104 3.2 . . .. ( MB ) 104 141 00 25. . . .( Bosch ) 0 205 003 042

Oval electrical connector, metal side cover

70 mm bore 83 mm air inlet hub

4 bolts on 100m circle ( ~ 71 mm to closest hole )

one ~ 1/4" vacuum hose fitting

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upgrade 74 MM bore
2011 ish unknown V6 , ( MB ) 113 141 01 25 . . . . ( Bosch ) 0 280 750 017
all aluminum single spark plug ( # On intake manifold 272 140 24 01 )
Square electrical connector, plastic side cover
74 MM bore 80 mm air inlet hub
4 bolts on 100m circle ( ~ 71 mm to closest hole )
One ~ 3/8" vacuum hose fitting
~~~~~~~~~~

I've also come across a TB that is even bigger and might work, no specs so far.

80 MM 113 141 05 25

I'm subscribing to this thread. I'm a fan of the m104 engine and getting extra power out of it. I'm very fond of the Carlsonn variants that are out there getting 330hp
Keep up the good work

I found a source for the square / rectangular throttle body wiring connector.

Came across a throttle body ( 04891735AC ) from a 07 -15 Chrysler / Jeep 2.0 and 2.4 This uses the MB square / rectangular type connector. Throttle bore is smaller than the M104 so nothing to be gained here.

On the MB side, a 99 C230 kompressor motor uses the square / rectangular, but a 99 C280 V6 still uses the oval connector.
