W126 Gen II 19mm Rear Sway Bars - Group Buy
If any W126 owners are interested, we're doing a group buy for 19mm Heilwig rear sway bars for second generation W126 chassis cars.
If you're not familiar with this, the stock rear sway bar is 14mm but an increase to a 19mm bar really makes a big difference in the way the rear of the car handles. If you would like more details or want to get in on the group buy, you can go here for more information. This will be the third group buy we've done for these, as each time more and more people want in on it as the reports from the folks who have gotten them have been great! Thank you, Dan |

From the postings on BW, it might be concluded that the bar being offered is applicable only to cars without anti-squat linkages. If so, that would exclude 500s and 560s as delivered in the USA. LWB250, can you confirm either way? |

I believe this was an issue with the first group buy we did, and I'm not sure if it was resolved - I think it was. Please let me check and I'll post back here with my findings. Also, if you have a car with SLS you will have to grind a small flat on the bar for your SLS valve lever. Plenty of folks have done this without issue. If you read the BW thread on these it's addressed there. Thank you, Dan Last edited by LWB250; 12-13-2016 at 02:57 PM. Reason: Added SLS reference |

I can tell you that if the stock sway bar is a part number 126 326 48 65, the upgraded one should fit as a direct replacement. Bushings and brackets are supplied with the new sway bar. It won't fit Gen 1 cars, which have a completely different sway bar and link setup as pictured below. This may well be the same as the anti-squat system you reference. The price will be at or very close to $230 shipped anywhere in the CONUS. We have a few international participants, so if you're not in the continental US, let me know any way and I can put you in touch with our shipping guy. Re: Thumbnail in post #4 above
The bar end, and connection to the wheel carrier that is illustrated in the thumbnail is the design used with anti-squat geometry for all W126 model years, both GenI and GenII. Those GenI cars (the great majority) that do not have anti-squat use the same anti-roll bar (ARB) configuration as the one that is being offered by the OP. The quick way to identify those cars that will accept the replacement ARB is to look at the semi-trailing arms: steel - yes, aluminum - no. The bottom line is that most GenI W126 cars will accept the ARB that is on offer. |

Where do I send my Money ?
Thank God there are 126 Fanatics like me ! I'm down for 1/one maybe 3/three. Helwig makes a fantastic adjustable solid "dogleg" endlinks. Stronger, adjustable, & cheap. As I recall a pair is less than $30.00 US. Well worth the money. Makes a thin swaybar feel thick. Anyone email or hit me back asap. Can't miss out on Santa this time. Thank You ! Rev. Buzz.
