Some comments/advice needed.

Hadn't noticed that the ECU was failing and the A/F ratio was way rich. Consequently the oil is almost black from unburned carbon particles. Anybody have a favorite recipe for flushing out oil pan and passages?? Is oil/diesel fuel mix still in favor?? Any comments appreciated. I really don't want to drop the pan, in the 107 that means removing the front suspension. Thanks.

Just change the oil a few times over a few weeks. It'll wash out

I'd change the oil once, then monitor color, it will stay clean longer than you think. If anything change the oil 1,000 miles _earlier_ than normal. Flushing with any sort of solvent can lead to the oil pickup clogging with debris, loss of oil pressure and loss of the engine. ( All of this is based on 40+ years in and around the auto repair business )
