performance for fuel savings too
My son bought a Mazda 3, with the 2.5 skyactive motor. What thrills me is it is 13.1 compression, but burns 87 octane fuel.
They quickly cool down the cylinders with 2 into 1 headers.By getting the gases out the cylinder cools to stop detatnation.. Wonder if this could be appilied with forced induction?

It gets away with that compression ratio because of the precise fuel control of direct injection.
