2.3-16vlv Custom air intake

I am getting ready to fabricate a custom cold air intake for my 16-vlv. My only concern is that when I go to install the two sensors 1) - Air temp sensor for the CIS 2) Air temp sensor for the EZL will the increased air flow have any effect on these. What about location? Closer or farther from the Air flow meter? Thanks

Pat,
I believe the stock setup on the 16V is pretty good. Cool air is drawn through the grill, straight to the filter and directly down the air meter. A K&N filter in the stock location may improve flow but the air is about as cool as it's going to get.

Where are you planning to mount the [cone?] filter?

The farther that the sensors are from HEAT the better the car will perform!!

190e cold air intake

What type of cold air intake setup are you running? Wild man J's, 2phasts, or your own? I've seen you multiple times on the delphi forums site, and you're very knowledgeable and I think everyone would be interested if you posted your progress. I'm trying to mold a carbon fiber intake and carbon fiber air box, but I'm still doing research, and I'll be done hopefully by the end of summer break (college student).

I am planning on moving the ignition coil and putting the filter where the intake tube runs to the upper core support. I am buying a OBX intake/assembly off ebay and fabricating my own, b/c I have yet to hear or see of anyone who has done so on a 16-vlv.
