w123 suspension settings 50mm drop
Greetings,
I have 300d with H&R 2" drop springs and HD Bilsteins and wish to get a performance oriented alignment done. Tire shop said that they would do anything I wanted if I provided the numbers.I was thinking as much castor as available, 1 - 1.25 negative camber all 4 and slight toe in front. Does anyone have a good proven set of numbers? Much appreciated! |

What are you going to use the car for? Car use dictates settings.

In general, I would not worry about getting max caster.
The camber settings would be a good start though in normal driving it will wear the inside of the tires at an elevated rate. I'd give a bit of toe out in the front for better turn in, be sure to maintain some toe in at the rear to reduce power on oversteer. The more power you have, the more rear toe in you need. Also remember, the more toe that is used the greater overall tire wear will be. I'm not sure you would fine direct settings, best bet is to read some suspension / race car setup books then start to experiment. |
