Hot Rod candidate?

To see what someone did to a Mercedes to make it a true hot rod,
and gorgeous as well, go to: www.ordain.com and view the car.
This car is a hot rod in the correct terminology!

HUMMMMMMM, I'll have to think on this....

OK, E.P.
Have thought long enough, how about we meet at Road Atlanta and run say five laps for our pink slips?? By the way, what color did you order for me??
The 190 for now is a track only car as I've turned my plates in. The truth is my inspector's shop got closed down and so now don't have an inspection sticker for emissions. Guess I'll have to register it in South Carolina....NO inspections there!!
Haven't got the struts on yet but the Carrera guru is coming by the shop on Wednesday to work out the technical side for dble. adjustable, shortened front struts

Check the sites and see when we can get some runs in at Road Atlanta and let me know....

Car looks sweet!

There's a guy in North Vancouver that has an old '60s MB 220 that he slammed. it sounds like he hopped up the motor and exhaust too. It looks GREAT!

Have only seen him on the road, so i haven't yet been able to talk to him

I can go with you to Road Atlanta if you need me to... I don't think you have a trailer to bring the 190/5.6 home and I could transport it for you!!

Angry HEY NOW....

Sounds like you guys are ganging up on me. On second thought to make all sides fair, think you should pull all the fuses out for electronically helping the driver such as ASR, ABS, ESP, ABC, XYZ, YAW, BSH and whatever else it has! I don't even have ABS, the only aids being P/S and P/B! Think it would be fair?

Tobias,
I'm just kidding... the 55 is an awesome car. I went over to see (and ride in) it the night E.P. got it. I forgot how quick that car is! I'd actually like to see a comparison between your car and E.P.'s - both road course AND acceleration runs!! Are you going to Euro 2002 in October?

e.p. and Scott,
Can't commit to the Euro 2002 yet as I don't know the dates. Was planning to go back up to Watkins Glen for the three day PDA event in October. Got the car all torn down for the rear end and all suspension so have the summer to get it back together and take it to VIR or CMP to dial it in, probably around Labor day.

e.p., thought you only had the car on order....and it's already here? What did you do with your CE then after just going through it? Sounds like a great car and good colors!

Keep the shiny side up~~

The "order" was a buyer's order!

I think they quit making these in mid to late April as the supply of new '02 CLK55s is finite - maybe only 40-50 left in the country. MB is reportedly now focused on the manufacture of the 2003 CLK (W209 body style). This was my last chance to buy the W208 new - I just had to jump on it.

None were available in Georgia, so they had to bring mine in from out of state.

I picked it up at noon on Wednesday. Since my last MB purchase was the CE, I'm still getting used to all the new technology/convenience features packed into this sucker.

I am keeping the CE (I love the way it drives/looks) to perform "daily driver" activites. The CLK55 will be for show/fun.

Euro 2002 will be from Friday 10/18 through Sunday 10/20. The car show itself will be on Saturday. Details are at www.euroautofestival.com

Hope to see you there!

p.s. I'll be checking with the local MBCA board to determine the interest level of doing either another track day, autocross or acceleration run. I'll keep you posted!
