You can rent it for free from Tire Rack. You just leave a deposit thats returned when they get back fender roller. Also, you pay shipping both ways. They just send the fender roller, you're on your own to get the heat gun, which is a must if you don't want cracked paint.

So thanks to Tire Rack, because I rolled my fender with Subman. Thanks Tire Rack and Luke!

fender roller

Nice job subman, you should give dtm fan some credit =)

I'm along with Adam, I know I have asked you but hopefully some of the other members could give light to this question.

Where can I BUY a fender roller? Where can I buy the infered thermometer?

I want to buy one because I want to roll two of my cars, my brother's car, my other brother's car and my friends are interested in the process, so I thought that maybe they would pay me and I could own the tool. =)

Though I don't know where you can actually buy the fender roller, I do know it is made by a Japanese company called "Haweka" so this may help you find a place that can get it for you.

Omega,
You can purchase an IR thermometer from NAPA for around $100 I purchased mine at a race event for $60 with laser aiming.

DTM,
Thanks for the info! I just noticed that Subman posted directions with his pictures. I should have noticed!
Thanks!

I have added a special thanks to Leandro for his help, look at the bottom of the page if you would like to see.

BTW the rollers are not cheap, Tire Rack requires a $500 deposit on the roller. I would think that is how much they cost.

I need to thank you too for getting a hold of me when that bad boy came in so I don't have to pop my fenders anymore when I go over a bump with m y wheels turned.

Cool So you want to buy one

OMEGABENZ and others interested in purchasing this tool.
It is made in Germany, NOT Japan!!

It is made by: Horst Warkotsch GmbH in Burgwedel, Germany.
The good news is that the USA dist/importer is about 25 miles north of me in NC.
The firm name is Haweka NA also at: www.HawekaNA.com
11034 Bailey Road
Cornelius, NC 28031
704-896-7535
800-242-6687

Good luck in your purchase...
Tobias MB
4 MBs

PS: Ck'd with Haweka and they don't keep the tool in stock and the retail on it is $950US.

Fender rolling?

At the risk of sounding stupid, why did you "roll" your fenders and what did it accomplish? It certainly looks great from your pictures. Are you getting wider wheels on your car as a result a la E500's?

Subman, a member of this forum, along with DTM fan rolled their fenders and made this

Read that and you will know.

Well, I did the write up, while DTM Fan did some of the picture taking, and just general helping out.
The link I posted at the beggining of this thread was the link to my webpage. My webpage has the same exact artile as is on benzsport (well there are a few more pics on my webpage). If you read the article it will answer most of your questions.
