M113 5.4 vs 5.0 for track car
So currently I track my C36 I’ve converted to manual. I’m at the stage if I want to go faster I’ll have to modify it to a point where I’ll wreck a pretty rare car. So I’ll be getting a stock w202 and swapping my upgraded suspension and brakes over.
this is where my question begins. I have both a 5.0L and 5.4L m113. And at first glance the AMG engine is a no brainer. But for some reason I’m drawn to using the 5L with a set of custom cams and spinning it to 7.5 or 8k revs. I’m only after about 400hp which should be achievable. Again, it would probably easier to just use the 5.4 but the sound from 8k revs would be amazing. would like to hear your thoughts on this/tell me why its a bad idea

It may be useful to keep in mind the limitations imposed by a moving hydraulic compensator, as compared to a stationary, pedestal compensator.
