Connecting Rods

What Hp are the connecting rods good for in a M103 and M104 motor. Are they forged? Can they be improved without replace ment?

RODS

450 HP, We have run them up to 550 HP on a M103 turbo on a test, but backed down the boost to 450 HP.

Prep them good:
Stress Relief
Shot Peen
Balance
Lighten

How is the reliability on this motor. I am targeting to be at 300hp.

Speedtek,
Is this proper order?
-Lighten
-Stress relieve
-Shot peen
-Balance

I'd like to lighten my rods. What's the procedure for doing so? Do you just grind the outside smooth in the direction of the length of the rod? Should it look like this?

What about the inside of the "I"? How much can you take off before it starts reducing the strength of the rod?

Thanks so much!

One more Question,

What other cranks and thier strokes will fit the M103 or M104 motors. I would like 3.6L. I am using after market pistons so I am flexible on the bore. The goal is to get it to spin up freely and have a flat torque curve. If I can have both.
