Help !! 190e 2.6 - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

The center muffler on my 190 2.6 is beginning to look like swiss cheese. It sounds like a crop duster. A local muffler shop refused to make me a straight pipe from the cat to the rear muffler.

Does anyone make a straight pipe or a performance exhaust for the 2.6?

Any help or info would greatly be appreciated..

OK. Does anyone know where I can get a good cat-back system for my 190 2.6? I know SOMEONE out there has done this already..

They won't or can't remove it because the shop thinks it is part of the catalytic system. Which removal is illegal for a licsenced shop to do on a street car that has the item already installed ,OEM.

I took to mine to Midas on Alafaya and HWY 50 in Orlando next to UCF. THey installed my new SS Muffler, and fab'd a custom Y-pipe and 2.5" tubing fron the cats to the muffler. $115.00 for labor and material Less the new muffler.

I would ask at a couple places, someone will do it. Or buy a new sport exhaust from the PartShop, I am sure they have one.
