Yes...a friend of mine has just purchased one of the Black ones...be still my boner.

He will be introducing himself and sharing photos very soon, hopefully. What a lucky fella...it is a Beautiful car.

No, no drive ...yet...we just parked them next to each other and checked out what was different on them and all the original German papers, invoices, parts that they gave him back after Federalising...yes, they gave him (person who imported it) the Euro-stuff back !! Actually, he said they were throwing the parts out and told him where the dumpster was !! Coolness.

...just 6 dudes drinkin' and droolin'in Paul's driveway until 1130 PM...the man is soooo very psyched...understandable...it's cherry.

Mike...you gotta get the 500E-fest goin' now. Let's chat about it soon. He does want to get together for a photo shoot though...I'll keep you posted.

Newport in October is nice and all the leaf peepers are further up in the Northern New England States. The waterfront area is great for walking and parading. The time share condo's for a 3 day weekend are well furnished (Newport onshore is best as it offers individual covered parking spaces.) The restaurants are all top shelf world class. The night life is a boatload of fun and it would be a blast to parade a dozen or so of these beasts up on Mansion Row.

If yous guys and your significant others would be interested, I will check with my condo association to see what kind of a package deal they may be willing to offer for a crowd of folks.

I would be very interested in attending this event I haven't been to Newport in years and it would give me an excuse to run the 500e (like I need an excuse). I am in Virginia but willing to make the drive.

Hey U live right next door, well almost. I live in Reston. We should get together and compare 500E's. I have seen several silver ones around here but not a spruce one. I had a teal 300E a while back, similar to spruce in color. Look me up, email drmspce@aol.com

I'm driving my 500E down to my work's HQ in Reston next friday (Sunrise Circle)...maybe we can meet up? I'm defintely going to Brickskellers for a few/several beers. Let me know if either of yous will be around.

FWIW, this saturday in Tolland, CT is a German-car fest at my pals house...a couple of 500Es,a E500 Limited,CL600, Countach and Ferrari Spyder will mix it up with mostly Audi S-cars, supposedly about 50 cars....the more the merrier...let me know if you want directions. Sunday we are all auto-xing our cars.Keg of Warsteiner and much frozen Jagermeister too. A German car photog from NYC is coming too to document the farce. All are invited, 12 noon until...whenever we pass out.
